Nigeria’s Munachi Jachike Ernest-Eze awarded Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship at UofT
A Nigerian has been awarded one of University of Toronto’s most prestigious academic scholarships.
Munachi Jachike Ernest-Eze won the senior category of the Cowbellpedia Secondary Schools Mathematics Television Quiz Show last year in Nigeria, Is a 2018 Pearson Scholar.
The 17-year-old who is was one of a few select students to be awarded the 4-year scholarship is passionate to learn more about aerospace and robotics while at U of T Engineering and also aspires to make an impact in his community after he graduates.
The scholarship program, funded by theUniversity of Toronto, is intended to recognize international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school. Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years.
Also receiving the prestigious scholarship are Mikel Rajiv Rajkumar (Year 1 EngSci) of Trinidad & Tobago, Camilo Dugand (Year 1 CivMin), of Colombia, Atom Arce (Year 1 TrackOne) of the United States, Adriana Diaz Lozano Patiño (Year 1 EngSci) of Mexico, Devansh Khare (Year 1 MechE), of India and Alana Bailey (Year 1 CivMin) of Jamacia.
