Another Storm on the way in New Brunswick

Heavy snow continues to fall throughout much of the province leading to widespread power outages Wednesday morning with another storm expected to hit Wednesday night and Thursday.

NB Power is reporting more than 42,000 customers without power on Wednesday morning as  the outages are mainly in Fredericton, Moncton and Sussex.

​The storm has caused closures across parts of the province, including:

  • All schools in Anglophone East 
  • Anglophone North schools in Miramichi and Rexton are closed.
  • Anglophone South schools is Sussex, Apohaqui, Norton and Belleisle.
  • Anglophone West schools in zones 2-9
  • Francophone South schools are all closed except in the Saint John and Quispamsis areas.
  • Our Lady of Grace Catholic School
  • River Valley Christian Academy
  • Sussex Christian School

Buses in Anglophone South have all been delayed by one hour.
